Halloween Home Decoration Ideas

Friendly Bobbing Ghosts

Purchase a few helium filled ballons and cover them with lightweight sheets or large pillow cases. Paint a friendly face on the sheet and let the finished product bounce around the room.

Make a Scarerow

Using old clothes and stuffing, the whole family can get into the action of making scarecrows. Stuff clothing with paper bags, pillows, stuffing, bedding, rags or leaves. Run a broom down the center of the pumpkin (so that the broom handle comes out the top), and cover the broom head with a halloween mask. Use indoors or out.

Monster Footprints

Take a magic marker, and draw a footprint in a big sponge. Cut out the footprint from the sponge. Pour washable paint in an aluminum pan. Press the sponge in the paint and sponge footsteps up your sidewalk to your front door for trick-or-treaters to follow, or around the side of your dark, spooky house. Flip the sponge upside down to stamp the other foot.

 Boiling Cauldron

The combination of dry ice and water and you have inexpensive witch’s cauldron. To create the spooky effect, purchase dry ice from your local store. Using tongs or thick gloves, place the dry ice in a watertight container; cover with water. Warm water will create more smoke, but it will disappear quickly. Cooler water will produce less dense smoke but it will last longer. If the amount of smoke decreases during you party, add more dry ice and water.
